Overstock pallets: new, never-sold stock in original packaging

On Two Bro Sales, overstock pallets are new, never-sold retail stock still in original packaging, and sellers list them under the condition New. Independent liquidators sell them in timed online auctions to verified business buyers only, and every load is picked up at the seller's warehouse in metro Atlanta.

Business buyers only: resale certificate (Georgia Form ST-5 or your state’s equivalent) required.

Recovery

Overstock (New) recovery by category

Median winning bid as a share of seller-declared manifest retail, by category, from paid sales from the last 365 days.

Not enough sales yet: we publish a median only after at least 10 manifested lots from at least 3 sellers sell in a group.

See how the figures are built on liquidation pallet prices on Two Bro Sales.

How it’s calculated: winning bid (hammer) ÷ seller-declared manifest retail, for manifested lots with a paid order only. Buyer and seller fees are excluded. A group is shown only with at least 10 sales from at least 3 sellers, and no seller above 50% of them. Data as of Oct 16, 2026. Past results don’t guarantee resale value.

Supply

Why overstock ends up on a pallet

  • Over-orders and forecast misses, when a buyer committed to more of a line than stores could sell before the next reset.
  • Cancelled or refused purchase orders: goods made for one retail program that never reached its shelves, which the supplier then sells in bulk.
  • Discontinued lines and model-year changes. The product is new, but the store needs the space for its replacement.
  • Packaging changes, where the old carton design is cleared out once the new one is in stores.
  • Closeouts from suppliers and distributors trimming warehouse inventory at the end of a season or a fiscal year.
Know before you bid

Risks that still come with new stock

  • Low defect risk, not zero.Warehouse handling crushes outer cases, and now and then a unit inside a sealed case is damaged. Budget a small allowance rather than none.

  • New is not the same as current. Last year's model or a superseded package often sells for less than the version on shelves today, so compare model numbers before you bid.

  • Concentration. These loads tend to be deep in a few items, sometimes a single SKU. That is great when the item sells and painful when it doesn't, so work out how many units your channels can absorb.

  • Price competition.Because the goods are sealed, your customers will compare your price with current retail and online listings. If the item is already discounted everywhere, your margin shrinks with it.

  • Dated consumables.Health, beauty and household stock can be sealed yet near or past a date code. Cosmetics carry no federally required expiration date while drug products must show one (FDA), so read the packaging, not just the manifest.

  • Recalls reach sealed goods too.Recalled products are prohibited on Two Bro Sales, but with deep quantities of one item a single recall touches every unit, so search cpsc.gov/recalls before reselling (CPSC).

  • A New lot that arrives opened or used is a condition problem. On manifested lots, condition materially off the stated code can be claimed within 48 hours of pickup.

Where overstock sells

  • Online marketplaces, where sealed items qualify for the strictest new condition: unused, unopened and undamaged in the original packaging (eBay item condition definitions).
  • Discount, closeout and variety stores that want clean, sealed goods in consistent quantities they can face on a shelf.
  • Wholesale to smaller shops, breaking a deep single-item lot into case quantities that a corner store or market vendor can afford.
  • Exporters, for whom many units of one sealed item are easier to sell abroad than a mixed load of returns.
  • Bin stores, in moderation. New goods lift how a bin feels to shoppers, but a few hundred of the same item can flood the floor.

Who buys overstock pallets

  • Online resellers who list sealed items under the new condition.
  • Discount and closeout retailers who want consistent, presentable stock.
  • Wholesalers who break deep lots into case quantities for smaller shops.
  • Exporters looking for many units of the same sealed item.
  • Bin store owners topping up a restock with new goods.

Overstock by category

Sealed stock still ages differently from one category to the next. Notes on the ones that matter most.

FAQ

Overstock pallet questions

Why is overstock listed under the condition New?

Condition codes on Two Bro Sales describe what the goods are, not why they were liquidated. Unopened stock in original packaging meets the New definition, so sellers list it as New and this page shows those lots. Open-box goods that are complete and working go under a separate condition, Like new.

Is overstock the same as current retail stock?

The items are new, but not necessarily current. A lot may be a prior model, a superseded package or a seasonal item that missed its season, which is part of why it sells below retail. Check the manifest for model numbers and compare them with what stores carry now.

Do overstock pallets need testing?

Rarely. Spot-check a few units of the high-value lines and anything that sat in a hot warehouse, and confirm sealed cases hold what the label says. That is a fraction of the bench time a returns load takes, and that saving is a large part of what you pay for.

What if an overstock lot contains opened or used items?

On a manifested lot, file a claim within 48 hours of pickup with photos and your count if the condition is materially off New; an upheld claim is refunded pro-rata. A crushed outer case on sealed units is not the same as used goods. Unmanifested lots are sold as-is with no claim window.

Can I sell overstock as new online?

If an item is unused, unopened and undamaged in its original packaging, it generally fits marketplace definitions of new. Damaged or unsealed packaging usually means listing it as new other or open box. Some brands limit who may sell their products on certain marketplaces, so check that before you list.
